CINE A LA CALLE is an International Short Film Festival in which films are presented entirely free of charge at outdoor locations in the north, center and south of the city of Barranquilla. CINE A LA CALLE also coordinates an alternative exhibition circuit in many of the city’s schools, cultural centers, and low-income neighborhoods, as well as an annual academic event that brings prominent experts to Barranquilla to give talks on Colombian and international cinema. Our Festival creates an open and democratic arena for audiovisual appreciation and education that fosters entertainment, culture, and exchange, and in this way helps promote social interaction within Barranquilla’s communities
